Advances in technology mean that Power over Ethernet (PoE) is now a viable, cost effective alternative to expensive electrical work wherever a camera is required. PoE uses two of the pairs of a standard Ethernet cable.

Total Networks design, install, support and maintain CAT5e, CAT6 and fibre optic networks. Much of the required infrastructure could already be in place for your networked surveillance system. If additional outlets are required, i.e. high up or outside, then our skilled engineers that specialise in voice and data cabling can install and test those copper or fibre links. All new permanent links come with a 25 year warranty.

Our engineers can test your existing network which will then allow us to determine its suitability for IP surveillance. If required we can carry out any repairs there and then. All tests are carried out and are recorded using industry leading Fluke Networks testing equipment. All results are provided in either electronic or hard copy format for your records.
